Its dry - paper technology fits easily into existing screening procedures in various places such as airports, stadiums, border crossings, and mailrooms.
The samples can be commercial grade explosives, usually in firm wax - like solid, sheet, or cord forms, or Home Made Explosives (HME) in powder, paste, liquefied, or combined forms. All samples vary in color and odor.

After that, follow the simple instructions provided with the kit to check for the presence of explosives residue or precursor material.
