Thickness dimensions are ± 1/8 in (± 3 mm). Width and length dimensions are +0.00 to - 0.25 in (+0.00 to - 6 mm). All weights are ± 5%.

Hesco Testing Protocol

NIJ Certification for hard armor needs 10” x 12” test plates. They must stop specific rounds according to a valid NIJ shot pattern after a tough conditioning test. Level III needs six M80 rounds per plate. Level IV needs one AP M2 per plate. Other same - construction torso plates can be included in the certification without more NIJ testing.

Hesco sets a higher standard. It shows the minimum number of shots each plate size can stop in similar NIJ tests and lists more threats not covered by NIJ certification. Check the Threat Performance Matrix for details.

Using these Hesco 800 Series 3810 torso plates is simple. Just place them in your compatible body armor carrier. Make sure they fit well and are secure before use. When it comes to maintenance, keep them dry. Since they have a waterproof coating, a little moisture won't hurt, but don't submerge them for a long time. Also, avoid sharp objects that could damage the Cordura® nylon wrap. Check for any signs of wear or damage regularly. If you notice anything like cracks or dents, it's best to replace the plate. Remember, these plates are made to order, so it'll take 8 - 12 weeks to get yours. And always follow any local laws and regulations regarding body armor use.
